Danero Thomas Named Pepsi Athlete Of The Week

Murray State sophomore basketball student-athlete Danero Thomas has been named the Pepsi Athlete of the Week for the period of Nov. 30 through Dec. 6.

Thomas reached a milestone Dec. 5 when he scored a game-high 18 points against Morehead State to become the 35^th member of the MSU 1000-Point Club.

He is an excellent defensive player too with 135 career steals which ranks him No. 1 in the OVC among active players and No. 9 all-time at MSU. At his current pace, Thomas may get into the top-10 for steals in a single season at MSU.

The Racers play Saturday at 3 p.m. cst in Johnson City, Tenn., against East Tennessee State.
