Men's Tennis Defeats Western Kentucky

The Murray State men's tennis team picked up its first victory of the season as the Racers defeated Western Kentucky, 5-2, Sunday morning at the Kenlake Tennis Center. The victory improves MSU to 1-4 on the season.
The Racers captured the doubles point as the duo of Luka Milicevic and Renaldo Domoney eased their way to an 8-2 victory at No. 2. Mason Johnson and Jadir Semensin clinched the point with an 8-4 victory at No. 3.
The Hilltoppers picked up a pair of victories at the top two singles spots, before Domoney earned a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 3 to even the match.
The Racers took control of the match from that point as Jose Berardo picked up a hard-fought 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory at No. 4. Semensin clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 6. Johnson picked up the fifth win of the day as he won a pro-set 10-7 over Andrew Swanson. The two split the first two sets with Johnson taking the first 6-2 and Swanson taking the second 7-5.
MSU returns to the court on Feb. 21 as they travel to take on Southern Illinois. First serve is set for 11 a.m.
