The Murray State Racers are back at home in the Regional Special Events Center to host the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles in a 7:30 p.m. game Saturday. MSU enters the game with a 7-0 mark in the Ohio Valley Conference, their best in league play since the 1998-99 season when they started 13-0. The Racers' 15-3 start also matches their best start since the 2003-04 squad did the same. MSU is coming off their 12th straight home win Monday when they handled Jacksonville State 92-68 in what was their highest score this season against an NCAA D-I team. The Racers scorched the nets for 12 three-point baskets, their best shooting game of the season showed a 50 percent clip from the field and 63 percent from long range. The Racers put five in double-figure scoring led by B.J. Jenkins with 19.

A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN: This season the Racers are performing at a high level on both ends of the floor. In fact, out of the 31 NCAA D-I conferences, Murray State is only team to lead their league on both scoring offense (79.2 ppg) and scoring defense (61.5). The Racers have led the OVC in both categories the entire season. Saint Mary's (WCC), Wichita State (MVC), Quinnipiac (NEC) and Prairie View A&M (SWAC) are schools that are close to leading in both statistics.
KINGS OF D: MSU also leads the OVC defending all field goals and three-point shots and leads the league in blocked shots and steals. The Racers held JSU to 39 percent from the field marking the fifth straight game and 12th this season in which the opponents have shot less than 40 percent. MSU has also held their opponent's leading scorer under his average in 16 of 18 games this season.
THE FRIENDLY CONFINES: Murray State is 139-25 (.847) all-time in their 12th season in the RSEC and 98-15 (.867) against OVC opponents. MSU's mark against non-league teams is 41-10 (.803). The Racers are 42-9 (.823) at the RSEC in the Billy Kennedy era and 8-0 this season. The Racers are 19-2 at home in the last two seasons.
