Racers Keep Momentum at EIU Mega Meet

The Murray
State Track and Field team kept the momentum going this past weekend at the
Mega Meet, hosted by Eastern Illinois at Lantz Fieldhouse in Charleston, Ill.
Taylor Crawford finished second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:22.34 and fourth in the one mile run with a time of 5:21.86.
The Racers had a strong showing in the 5,000-meter run with Katelyn Jones finishing third with a time 18:56.69. Asenath Na'Aman took sixth place with a time of 19:05.05.
In the 3,000-meter run Kayla Crusham took third place (10:33.27) while Bridget Stichnot placed seventh with a time of 11:11.00.
Another top performer for the Racers was Amber Mills. She placed second in the 600-meter dash with a time of 1:39.50.
In the field events freshman Taylor Utsey placed third in the long jump with a distance of 17'02.00".
The Racers will compete again Feb. 5th at the McDonalds Invitational hosted by SIU Carbondale in Carbondale, Ill.
