The Murray State Racers can join a special group of teams when they travel to the Elam Center in Martin, Tenn., for a 1 p.m. game with the UT Martin Skyhawks. MSU is one win from joining the 20-win club at MSU, a group that has 22 teams in it at the moment. MSU enters the contest on a 10-game winning streak after taking an 86-49 win Wednesday at home against SIU Edwardsville, their 14th straight win at home. The Racers' 10-game win streak is the second-best in the country behind Siena at 11 straight. MSU has another impressive streak going in that they've won their last 17 Ohio Valley Conference regular season games. They're chasing the all-time best in the OVC of 25 set by WKU in the 1965-57 season. MSU hasn't lost since a Dec. 22 setback at WKU. MSU's 19 wins in the first 22 games is the best since the 1998-99 team started 20-2.

The Racers are playing well at the moment as they come off an 86-49 win at home over SIU Edwardsville. The Racers have different players that get hot on any given night and against SIUE it was Tony Easley, Danero Thomas and Isaiah Canaan who all scored in double-figures. B.J. Jenkins had seven assists.
The Racers have won five straight games away from home and have accomplished their recent results by their usual calling card in the Billy Kennedy era...defense. MSU ranks second in the nation with 11.3 steals per game and in the top-45 in field goal defense and three-point defense. The Racers have won 21 straight games when holding opponents to 60 points or less.
The Racers are performing at a high level on both ends of the floor. In fact, out of the 31 NCAA D-I conferences, Murray State is one of only three teams leading their league in both scoring offense and scoring defense. BYU (Mountain West) and Saint Mary's (West Coast) are the other schools in with the Racers.
