The Murray State women's tennis team traveled to Clarksville, Tenn., for the APSU Tournament as part of the fall tennis season and returned with four champions. Junior Cassidy Cunity and sophomore Ashley Canty earned the A Doubles title, while freshmen Taylor Vick and Carla Suga took the B Doubles title. Individually senior Alexis Webb was the A Single Back Draw champion and Vick took the C Singles Back Draw title.

Cunitz and Canty earned the A Doubles championship with wins over Vanja Tomic and Rachel Margolies from APSU (8-1); Kara Jackson and Alyssa Bellini from Lipscomb (8-3); and Carlin Weikard and Kimberly Loo from APSU (8-6).

Vick and Suga earned their championship in B Doubles with victories over Carrie True and Morgan Freeman from WKU (8-0); Carlina Jow and Julianne McMeen from Lipscomb (8-6); and Megan Stephens and Leanne Caplinger from WKU (8-2).

Webb dropped her first match of the tournament to WKU's Monta Reinfeld (5-7, 6-0, 10-7) before going on to win the A Singles Back Draw title with wins over Elizabeth Keevil from Lipscomb (6-3, 2-6, 10-1) and WKU's Alex Crafford (6-0, 6-0).

Vick went 3-0 in the C Singles Back Draw after defeating MicKinley Mason from WKU (7-5, 6-2), Julianne McMeen from Lipscomb (6-0, 6-1) and Samantha Bowman from Lipscomb (6-2, 6-0).

Seniors Lindsey Wiseman and Webb went 2-1 in doubles action at the tournament in A doubles action, earning wins over Monta Reinfeld and Alex Crofford from WKU (8-2) and Lispcomb's Kara Jackson and Alyssa Bellini (8-2).

Wiseman also went 1-0 in B Singles action, earning a 6-2, 6-2 win over WKU's Katrina Vucina. Cuntiz went 2-0 in B Singles play, winning against Alex Crofford from WKU (4-6, 6-4, 10-1) and APSU's Rachel Margolies (6-4). Suga went 1-2 in B Singles play, with losses to APSU's Rachel Margolis (6-0, 6-3) and McKinley Mason from WKU (7-5, 6-3), and a win over Carrier True from WKU (6-0, 6-4).

The Racers will conclude their fall season this weekend at the June Stewart Invitational hosted by Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn.
