The Murray State Racers play for third place of the 76 Classic when they meet the Oklahoma State Cowboys Sunday at 5 p.m. central time at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif.
Each team has put up a 1-1 mark thus far in the tournament with the Racers defeating Stanford 55-52 and losing 69-55 to UNLV. Oklahoma State defeated DePaul in their opener 60-56, then dropped a 56-51 loss to Virginia Tech.

This will be the first meeting between the Racers and Cowboys, however MSU has a long history of competing against teams from the Big-12.
In fact, MSU has played Kansas more than any Big-12 team (0-9) with nine games over the years, the last coming in the second round of the 1988 NCAA Tournament where the Racers lost a close 61-58 game to go to the Sweet-16. MSU defeated Oklahoma in 1998 to win the OU Holiday Classic and also scored a win over Iowa State in the San Juan Shootout in Puerto Rico in 1997.
MSU's best win total against Big-12 teams is two wins each against Texas, Nebraska and Baylor.
The Racers could never quite get a run against UNLV in the Friday game at the 76 Classic. After trailing 34-22 at halftime, MSU got as close as seven at 43-36 with 14:24 left, but never got any closer and UNLV increased their lead to 63-41 with 7:20 left. The Racers were led by 11 points each from Isacc Miles and Isaiah Canaan. Mile was 4-7 from the field, while Canaan was 3-11. B.J. Jenkins led MSU's rebounding effort with a career-high six boards as MSU won the stat 30-25. MSU ended the game shooting 34 percent (16-46), while UNLV was 58 percent (27-46).
Part of the Murray State men's basketball trip to Anaheim, Calif., for the 76 Classic was an off day from hoops to enjoy Disneyland. Saturday was that day as the team loaded up to take in the fun. the day ended with dinner in the ESPNZone in Downtown Disney.
