Indoor Track & Field Set Ready For Early Meet at Southern Illinois

The Murray State women's track & field team will begin the 2010-11 indoor season at the Saluki Fast Start, Friday, Dec. 3 in Carbondale, Ill.

The Racers will be competing with two teams from the Ohio Valley Conference (Austin Peay/Tennessee Tech), the host Salukis, Belmont from the Atlantic Sun and Big East competitors Louisville and South Florida. There will also be teams from NCAA DII, NAIA and independent competitors at the meet.

” We are excited to go to SIU and compete this weekend,” said head coach Jenny Severns. “The team has been working really hard and this gives them an opportunity to see where there are going into winter break.”

After the meet at SIU, MSU will be off until Jan. 14-15 when they travel back to Carbondale, Ill., for the SIU Invite.
