MSU Receives Votes In AP & ESPN/USA Today Polls

The Murray State Racers are one of the hottest teams in college basketball with a share of the nation's longest winning streak, a 26-3 record and now getting attention in the national polls.
The Racers received votes in both the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today polls on Monday.
MSU had two votes for the AP Top-25 and are ranked 38th and received one vote in the ESPN/USA Today Top-25 good for a 36th ranking.
The Racers are coming off a 75-66 win Saturday over Morgan State in the ESPNU BracketBusters event, which pushed their winning streak to a school record 17. MSU shares the nation's longest win streak with Butler.
MSU moved up in the NCAA RPI from 82 to 77 and are still ranked fourth in this week's Mid-Major Top-25 poll.
Murray State hits the road this week with a chance to become the fourth team in Ohio Valley Conference history to go undefeated. Thursday at 7 p.m. central time, the Racers (16-0) play at Morehead State and Saturday at 6 p.m., they play at Eastern Kentucky. Both games will be aired on the Racer Television Network.
MSU has wrapped up the No. 1 seed in the OVC Tournament and will host the No. 8 seed at the Regional Special Events Center in a quarterfinal game Tuesday, Mar. 2.
