Racers in Eighth Place After First Day at OVC Championships

The Murray State track and field team is currently in eighth place at the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championships.
Kayla Crusham, Christina Johnson, Karissa Magnuson, and Taylor Crawford took second place in the distance medley relay with a time of 12:22.65.
Katelyn Jones came in fourth place in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:29.66.
In the long jump, Audris Williams took 10th place with a leap of 17'8.00". Taylor Utsey had a leap of 16'8.00" and came in 16th place.
Josha Rogers took seventh place in the high jump with a leap of 5'2.25".
The current team rankings for the Indoor Championships are Eastern Illinois in first with 40 points, followed by Southeast Missouri with 31 points. Tennessee Tech is in third (28), and in fourth place is Eastern Kentucky (28). Tennessee State is in fifth with 20 points, followed by Austin Peay (17), Jacksonville State (16), and Murray State with 15 points.
The OVC 2010 Indoor Championships will continue on Saturday at 10 a.m.
