OVC Tournament Men's Field Set - Racers Host TSU

The field for the 2010 Ohio Valley Conference Men's Basketball Tournament has been set following the end of regular season play on Saturday.
Murray State (17-1) will be the No. 1 seed after having already clinched its 21st OVC Championship a week ago. The Racers will host No. 8 seed Tennessee State in the first round.
The Racers play TSU at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Regional Special Events Center.
Defending tournament champion Morehead State (15-3), Austin Peay (11-7) and Eastern Illinois (11-7) will also host first round games. It marks the first time since the 2001 season that Eastern Illinois has been a top four seed (that season the Panthers went on to win the OVC Tournament Championship).

For the final time this season, the first round matchups will be played on campus sites (starting next year the entire tournament will be played in Nashville). Those games will be played on Tuesday, March 2. The semifinals and final will be held at Bridgestone Arena (formerly the Sommet Center) in downtown Nashville, Tenn. on March 5-6. The semifinals will be seen on ESPNU and the final will air on ESPN2.
