Jenkins-Canaan Earn Pepsi Athlete Weekly Honor

The Pepsi Athlete of the Week for the period of February 22-28 is the Murray State basketball duo of B.J. Jenkins and Isaiah Canaan.

The junior from Virginia Bech, Va., and freshman from Biloxi, Miss., had a game that will not be forgotten.

Feb. 27 in an 88-74 win for the Racers at Eastern Kentucky, the final regular season game of the season, the pair combined to hit 10-of-11 three-pointers in the game as each finished with 22 points.

For Canaan, it was a career high.

For the week in games with EKU and Morehead State, Jenkins and Canaan shot 14-of-26 from the field for 53 and they were an amazing 12-of-16 from three-point range for 75 percent.
