The Murray State women's tennis team returned to conference play to defeat Tennessee State 7-0 yesterday at the Bennie Purcell Tennis Courts.
Angela McGahee defeated Meagan Haynes at No. 1, 6-1, 6-0.
Alexis Webb defeated Penelope Johnson in two sets as well, 6-0, 6-0.
The rest of the Racers also went uncontested in each of their single matches.
In doubles action Lindsey Wiseman and McGahee paired up to defeat Haynes and Johnson at No. 1, 8-1.
Lyndsay Ottosen and Dina Obokhova paired up at No. 2, while Ashley Canty and Webb took the No. 3 position. Both pairs went uncontested.
The Racers are now 5-8 for the season and 2-2 in Ohio Valley Conference play.
The Racers will host Jacksonville State, Thur., Apr. 1st. The match is set to begin at 10 a.m.
