Racers Sweep EIU on Senior Day

The Murray State women's tennis team made sure that seniors
Angela McGahee and Lyndsay Ottosen had a memorable last match by defeating
Eastern Illinois, 7-0, Saturday afternoon at the Purcell Tennis Courts.
McGahee teamed up with Ashley Canty to defeat Amanda Dibbs and Merritt Whitley at No. 1, 8-5.
Alexis Webb and Lindsey Wiseman sealed the doubles point for the Racers by defeating Juliana Frey and Annie Egan, 8-4.
McGahee went uncontested against Dibbs, winning her last regular season singles match, 6-0, 6-0.
Ottosen also went out on a win by defeating Egan, 6-1, 6-0.
Cassidy Cunitz defeated Whitley, 6-2, 6-1, at the No. 5 position.
The Racers finished the season 8-10 overall and 5-4 in Ohio Valley Conference action.
The OVC Tennis Championships will begin Fri., Apr. 16th at the Lone Oak Tennis Center in Paducah, Ky.
