Women’s Tennis Opens Fall Season at MTSU Invite

The Racers has five members of this season's roster at the event. Senior Alexis Webb and freshman Casey Johnson had the best showings at the event. Both went 1-2 in singles action and combined for a 2-1 record in doubles action.
Webb earned a 6-1, 6-4 win over Chattanooga's Emily Hangstefer, while Johnson defeated Diana Zora (Chattanooga) 6-3, 6-3. The duo also earned doubles victories over Annie Green/Grace Robinette (9-7) and Brianna Wishing/Charlotte Bossy (8-3) from Chattanooga.
The Racers will next see action at the Indiana Invitational, Sep. 24-26 in Bloomington, Ind.
