The Murray State Racers hit the road for a 7 p.m. game Wednesday against SIU Edwardsville at the Vadalabene Center in Edwardsville, Ill. The Cougars are the newest member of the Ohio Valley Conference and will play a full league schedule starting next season.
The Racers flirted with the 100-point mark again last Saturday in a 96-58 home win over Southeast Missouri State. MSU blitzed the Redhawks with a 35-9 run to start the game and never looked back in moving to 6-3 in the OVC, good for a spot in third place behind Austin Peay and Tennessee State who share first place at 7-2.
Junior Jewuan Long set a second career-high in 10 days when he scored 15 for MSU who won for the 13th time this season. The Racers had 11 steals against SEMO, their eighth double-digit steal game this season.

Racer senior B.J. Jenkins is ranked fifth in NCAA D-I in free throw shooting at .940 percent. He has missed only three of them all season and is 47-of-50.
At the moment, Jenkins is far ahead of the MSU single season record of .896 set by Jimmy
Young in the 1969-70 season. He is also taking aim at the career percentage record that is held by recent MSU player Tyler Holloway who shot .858 from 2005-2009. Jenkins' career percentage is .855 (106-of-124).
Jenkins made 21 straight from the line earlier this season, but didn't top the MSU record of 33 that was set in the 1989-90 season by Greg Coble.

In a testament to MSU's balanced scoring, the Racers are the only team in NCAA D-I hasn't had a 20-point scorer yet this season.
