The Murray State Racers come home to the CFSB Center for a 7:30 p.m. tip Saturday against the UT Martin Skyhawks. The first meeting between the two was a 66-54 Racer win (Dec. 21) at UTM. MSU has never lost at home to the Skyhawks in 20 all-time meetings.
The Racers are coming off a 67-61 win at future Ohio Valley Conference team SIUE Wednesday night, while the Skyhawks are also coming off a win at SIUE, as they beat the Cougars in Edwardsville, Ill. Monday by a 78-69 score.
The Racers had to hold off a determined SIUE team to get a 67-61 win Wednesday at the Vadalabene Center in Edwardsville, Ill. The game was tied 58-58 with 3:53 left when the Racers finished the game on a 9-3 run and held SIUE in five straight possessions. B.J. Jenkins paced the Racers with 14 points and Ed Daniel tied the season-high for MSU with a career-high 14 rebounds.

In a testament to MSU's balanced scoring, the Racers are the only team in NCAA D-I hasn't had a 20-point scorer yet this season. MSU shared this distinction with Jacksonville of the Atlantic Sun Conference and Southern Illinois of the Missouri Valley for a long while, but they've since dropped off the list.
The Racers come back home to the CFSB Center which has been their home going on 13 seasons where they've won 85 percent of their games and nearly 84 percent of OVC games.
The Racers have been particularly good in the Billy Kennedy era where they are 55-11 in the last five seasons and 22-2 in the last two.
Earlier this season MSU had a long home win streak going, but was stopped at 25 when Austin Peay won 66-64 (Jan. 8). MSU's all-time win streak of 47 occurred between 1996 and 2000 which spanned the final 30 games in Racer Arena and the first 17 in the CFSB Center.
