Racers To Host Evansville Feb. 19 In BracketBusters

The Racers, who lead the all-time series with Evansville 21-10, haven't met the Missouri Valley Conference member since 2002 when they won at Roberts Stadium in Evansville, Ind. by a 76-58 score. Before that game, the two teams hadn't played since 1992. MSU is 12-3 all-time against EU at home with the last game coming at old Racer Arena in 1991, a win for EU 87-80. The series began in 1943.
EU is 12-9 overall and 6-5 in the MVC having won their last three games at home against Bradley, Indiana State and Southern Illinois. The Purple Aces' leading scorer is Colt Ryan (15.0ppg) and Kenneth Harris is their leading rebounder (7.0rpg). EU has five games to play before they meet the Racers including a game Tuesday at home against Missouri State.
The BracketBusters agreement requires the Racers to return the home game with a game at Evansville at some point during the 2011-12 or 2012-13 seasons. MSU will be playing next season at Morgan State, after the Racers won their BracketBusters game at home last season.
