Murray State Basketball Signs Jeffery Moss

Murray State Men's Basketball Coach Steve Prohm announced the signing of Jeffery Moss (6-4, 180) from Bob Jones High School in Madison, Ala.
Going into his senior season, Moss has been rated by the Birmingham News fourth on their list of 2012 super seniors in Alabama boy's basketball.
As a junior in the 2010-11 season, Moss averaged 12 points per game to go with five rebounds. He led the Patriots in assists and steals. He was a 56 percent shooter from the floor and 71 percent from the free throw line.
His team at Jones HS went 26-10 last season and advanced to the Alabama State 6A sub-state round.
Moss, a guard, was named Alabama All-Area 15 and the Huntsville Times named him to their All-Metro Team.
“I'm excited about the addition of Jeffery Moss to our program,” Prohm said. “We lose Jewuan Long in this year's senior class and I feel that Jeffery can come in and fill that. He can play a lot of positions for us on the perimeter. He's an outstanding athlete and has great length. Jeffery has the opportunity to be a very good player.”
Moss' coach at Bob Jones High School is Danny Petty.
“Jeffery is a kid who works hard,” Petty said. “We usually have him guarding our opponent's best player. Offensively, he can slash to the basket and he can jump well. He's a left hander and that presents problems for opponents trying to guard him. He really improved over last summer and his perimeter shot has improved.”
Moss played AAU basketball with The Alabama Challenge out of Birmingham, Ala., where his team went to the national tournament and advanced to the semifinals.
Moss was also the quarterback for the Patriots' football team that was ranked in the top-5 in Alabama Class 6A.
