24th Ranked Racers Now 11-0 With 89-65 Victory Over Lipscomb

#24 Murray State had its best shooting night of the season Thursday, staying perfect on the season in an 89-65 win against Lipscomb at the CFSB Center.
Leading 27-21 with 6:14 left in the first half, MSU ended the half with an 18-8 run to lead the Bison 45-29 at the half.
The Racers forced six straight Lipscomb turnovers to key an 18-0 run to build a commanding 65-35 lead with 13:44 remaining in the game.
The Racers (11-0) sank 56.9 percent (37-65) of their shots for the game, including 60 percent of their shots in the second half. Ed Daniel and Ivan Aska led MSU with 16 points each on the night, with Daniel scoring a season-high on 7-of-8 shooting from the field as he scored 12 points in the first half as the Racers jumped ahead 45-29 at halftime.
Five different Racers grabbed four rebounds as Murray State held a 33-29 advantage on the glass.
The game was the third time this season that the Racers have forced their opponent into giving up more turnovers than they have made field goals. Lipscomb (6-6) was held to just 20 made field goals and committed 23 turnovers on the night. The Racers forced 15 steals, their second highest total of the season.
Isaiah Canaan added 13 points with Jewuan Long scoring 11 and Stacy Wilson contributing 10 as MSU had five players reach double digits in scoring.
Murray State returns to action Saturday night for the second game of its current three game homestand, hosting Arkansas State. Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The win for MSU is their first as a ranked team since beating Tennessee Tech 72-69 on Feb. 2, 1971
With the win, the Racers now own an 11-game win streak at the CFSB Center since their last loss (Jan. 20, 2011) to Eastern Illinois. MSU has won 14 straight non-OVC games since their last defeat against Louisiana Tech (Feb. 21, 2009).
The Racers' all-time record in 14 seasons in the CFSB Center is now 163-27(.857) and 64-9 (.876) against non-OVC opponents.
Isaiah Canaan drew closer to becoming the 38th member of the MSU 1000-Point Club. His 13 points tonight gives him 959 for his career.
The Racers forced the Bison into 23 turnovers tonight as MSU grabbed 15 steals. MSU has six games with 10 or more steals in 11 games this season.
Canaan and Donte Poole have each hit a three-pointer in all 11 games this season.
