2009-10: Scored 371 points during his sophomore season and starts 2010-11 with 691 points and needs 309 points to become the 36th member of the MSU 1000-Point Club … Named OVC Player of the Week (Nov. 16) … Had a string of 28 straight starts … Had a season-high 20 points on 9-of-9 shooting against UMSL (Nov. 14) … Had 17 double-figure scoring games … Was third in the OVC in field goal percentage at .588 … He made 26 more field goals and shot 51 percentage points better than he did as a freshman … Had a career-high 14 rebounds against ETSU (Dec. 12) … Was named to the All-OVC Preseason Team and the NABC All-District 19 Team.
2008-09: Had an outstanding first season with the Racers that led to being named OVC Freshman of the Year ... He was third on the team in scoring with 10.3 points per game and first in rebounding with 5.8 per game ... Earned OVC Freshman of the Week honors three times ... In just his third college game (Nov. 22), he scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds in MSU’s win over WKU ... Recorded 16 games of double-figure scoring and two games of double-figure rebounding including 11 against UTM in the same (Feb. 23) game when he scored a season-high 23 points ... Was second on the team with 125 field goals and managed a .527 clip in field goal percentage, second on the team ... Was named to the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Freshman All-America Team.
Before MSU: Enjoyed an oustanding career at Boyd H. Anderson High School and was nominated as a McDonald’s All-American ... Averaged 12 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks per game to help lead the Anderson Cobras to a 24-6 record ... Was named All-Broward County by the Miami-Herald ... During his senior season he averaged a double-double and was named the MVP at the Rock Holiday Classic in Las Vegas and the Roundball Classic in Georgia ... His team qualified for the Florida 6A State Championship game where it was runner up and he was named game MVP... Named All-Broward County by the Miami Herald and selected Florida First Team All-State ... His career-best prep game was a 28-point, 26-rebound game.
