Love Sets School Record in Day One of GVSU Big Meet

Day 1 Results
The Palmetto, Fla., native ran a qualifying time in the invite section of the event with a time of 7.69, breaking the record set by Audris Williams in 2010 of 7.76. She then re-broke her own record in the finals, with a run of 7.66 taking seventh overall. Love also ran a personal-best in the 200 of 24.82 to take seventh in that event.
The trend of personal-best times continued throughout the day's events. Junior Kayla Crusham set a new personal-best time of 18:43.26 in the invite section of the event, while Senior Kristen Reffert ran in the open section and ran a personal-best time of 18:55.07.
Junior Galileo Simmons returned to the track and ran took six in the 600, with a personal-best time of 1:38.45 and sophomore Karissa Magnuson finished the same event with a personal-best time of 1:49.11 for 26th, both in the open section.
The Racers will continue to participate in the GVSU Big Meet in Allendale, Mich., through Saturday, Feb. 12.
