The Racers are ready to play their seventh BracketBusters game and are 4-2 in the annual special after beating Morgan State at home last season. MSU's first BB game was at Rice in 2005 and since they've had games that include: Illinois-Chicago, Rider, Indiana State and Louisiana Tech.
MSU will return their game with Morgan State next season and will make a return trip to Evansville at some point in either the 2011-12 or 2012-13 seasons. When they do play at UE, it will be in a new arena as the Purple Aces are set to play their final game at Roberts Stadium in the 55-year history of the arena Feb. 26 against Illinois State.

MSU is tied for first place (12-4) with Morehead State and host the Eagles Thursday as MSU seeks its 22nd OVC title. The 8 p.m. game on ESPNU is Be Bold-Wear Gold Night. Saturday (Feb. 26) finds MSU ending the regular season with Eastern Kentucky on Senior Day. It all leads to the OVC Tournament at Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn March 2-5. Seeds 5-8 play March 2, with seeds 3-4 getting a pass to the quarterfinals (March 3). The top two seeds get a bye to the semifinals (March 4) on ESPNU. The championship game (March 5) will be aired on ESPN2.

The Murray State Racers take a break from Ohio Valley Conference play Saturday when they host the annual Sears BracketBuster game against the Evansville Purple Aces in a 7 p.m. tip at the CFSB Center. The game marks the 32nd all-time meeting between the two and their first since 2002. The Aces have never played in the CFSB Center and haven't visited MSU since playing at old Racer Arena in 1991.

The Racers are coming off an upset loss Wednesday at Southeast Missouri 64-57 that dropped MSU back into a first place tie in the OVC at 12-4. MSU battled bravely in trying to overcome an 18-point deficit in the second half and did cut SEMO's lead to three, but could not rescue the game at the Show Me Center. B.J. Jenkins led MSU with 18 points and Ivan Aska came off the bench to provide a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
