The Murray State men's basketball team saw three players and Head Coach Billy Kennedy earn honors from the Ohio Valley Conference after a stellar 2010-11 season.Sophomore guard Isaiah Canaan was named to the All-OVC First Team, while senior guards B.J. Jenkins and Isacc Miles were All-OVC Second Team selections. Billy Kennedy was named OVC Coach of the Year for a second straight season.
Overall, this season marks MSU's 24th 20-win season in program history. MSU is also tied
with UConn for the fourth-best consecutive winning season streak in the nation at 24 in a row. Syracuse has 41, while Kansas has 28 and Arizona has 27.

The Murray State Racers are ready to challenge the rest of the field this week in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament at the Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn.
The Racers earned the No. 1 seed after they navigated 18 games in the regular season and won their 22nd championship with a 14-4 record. MSU clinched a tie for the title last Thursday with a 70-62 win over visiting Morehead State. The title was won outright last Saturday when they defeated Eastern Kentucky 66-56.
MSU enters the event with a three-game win streak in the OVC Tournament after taking the title in 2010. MSU's 60 all-time wins in the OVC Tournament is a league-best.
The 2011 tournament marks a new beginning for the OVC with all eight men's and women's teams coming to the Municipal Auditorium to decide a champion. The early games of the event will be carried on OVCSports.TV before ESPNU airs the semifinals and ESPN2 takes over for the championship game. Westwood One radio will also air the title tilt.

Billy Kennedy is the first Murray State coach to win back-to-back OVC Coach of the Year awards. After winning an OVC-record 31 games last year and topping Vanderbilt in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, Kennedy's team finished strong going 19-3 over its final 22 games.
