The Murray State women's track & field team will be heading to Nashville, Tenn., Saturday, March 26 to participate in the annual Vanderbilt Black & Gold meet. The Racers will be competing in the meet for the first time in at least 10 years.

MSU will be one of 11 teams competing in the meet. Besides the host Commodores, the Racers will be joined by Jacksonville State, Southeast Missouri and Tennessee Tech from the Ohio Valley Conference. Other conferences represented in the competition include the Mid American (Central Michigan and Miami (Ohio)), the Atlantic Sun (Lipscomb) and the Horizon League (Loyola-Chicago). There are also teams from DII, NAIA and community colleges.

The meet is just the second of the outdoor campaign for MSU, after competing in the Wake Forest Open last weekend in Winston-Salem, N.C.
