Rogers Takes First in High Jump at Hilltopper Relays

Freshman Katie Forshey was also strong in the event, claiming second place, with a personal-best jump of 1.62m (5'3.75”). Senior Lexie Barr kept the top finishes going in the field events, earning second in the pole vault. Barr cleared a mark of 3.45m (11'3.75”). The final top-5 finish came in the track events from junior Kayla Crusham. Crusham placed third in the 3,000-Steeplechase, with a time of 11:47.43.
The Racers also saw several other personal-best marks or times during the meet in Bowling Green, Ky. Those included a personal record in two events from freshman Meghan Helmer. Helmer threw the hammer 35.16m (115'4”) and the shot put 10.41m (34'2”).
Senior Kristin Reffett also had two personal-best marks for MSU, in the javelin and the 1,500. Reffett threw the javelin 27.61m (90'9”) and ran the 1,500 in a time of 5:00.85. Sophomore Bridget Stichnot also ran a personal-best time in the 1,500 of 5:21.82.
The Racers will now have two weeks before their next competition at the Indiana Relays, April 24.
