Racers Track & Field Heads to Illini Classic

The Murray State women's track & field team will continue the 2011-12 campaign at the Illini Classic hosted by Illinois in Champaign, Ill., at the University of Illinois Armory.
The Racers will be one of nine teams at the meet and will be one of four teams from the Ohio Valley Conference in participation. Southeast Missouri, SIU Edwardsville and Tennessee State will also make the trip to Champaign. Besides the hosts from the Big 10, MSU will compete against teams from the Big 12, Missouri Valley and Mid American conferences, with Missouri, Bradley and Northern Illinois joining the competition field. There will also be an NCAA DII team, Lincoln (Mo.), at the meet.
Track events are scheduled to start at 9 a.m., with the first session of running events slated for 11:30 a.m. and running through 5 p.m.
