Women's Tennis Travels to Southern Miss

The Murray State women's tennis team travels to Hattiesburg, Miss., for the Golden Eagle Halloween Classic hosted by Southern Miss., this weekend. It will be the Racers' second fall tournament of 2012.
There will be seven singles draws and four doubles draws this weekend. Carla Suga will get things kicked off for the Racers in the “Blue” draw at 10:30 a.m. on Friday as she plays Northwestern State's Polina Konop. Carolyn Huerth will play in the “Red” draw and will face off with Carolina Masso at noon on Friday.
Ashley Canty will face off with Southern Miss' Lauren May in her first round match in the “Gold” draw. In the “Purple” draw Suzaan Stoltz will play Central Arkansas' Bianca Strukelj. Stoltz will face Southeast Louisiana's Isa Brito on Saturday at 10:30 on Saturday morning.
Erin Patton will be playing in the “Yellow” draw for MSU and will play Central Arkansas' Ana Buyukyan at noon. Megan Blue will play in the “Orange” draw and faces off with Helene Czudek in her opening round match.
In doubles play, the duo of Blue and Canty will play SELA's Castillo and Villareal at 8:30 a.m. on Friday in the “Peach” draw. Huerth and Stoltz will also be playing their first doubles match at 8:30 as they will play in the “Teal” draw against Isidora and Pennesi.
Patton and Suga will be the third and final doubles tandem for the Racers this weekend and will be playing in the “Grey” draw. Patton and Suga will play UCA's Buyukyan and Gonzalez in the opening round.
The first round of doubles play will be the only doubles matches played on Friday as matches will resume on Saturday. In singles competition, most of the draws will be playing both the first and second round matches on Friday.
