Women's Tennis Plays at Arkansas State This Weekend

The Murray State women's tennis team will hit the road for the second consecutive week as the Racers head to Jonesboro, Ark., for the Arkansas State Red Wolf Invitational this weekend.
This weekend's tournament will be the Racers' final event of the fall. MSU will return for the spring season in February, also at Arkansas State.
Ashley Canty opens things up for the Racers this weekend as she will face UT Martin's Ivon Simic in her first round matchup. Carla Suga will face Central Arkansas' Allison Murphy in her opening round match.
Megan Blue will be one of two Racers that will open up the tournament against Arkansas State opponents. Blue will faceoff with Biljana Milosevska. Suzaan Stoltz will also play a member of the Red Wolves in the first round as she will face Chiara Stefanov.
Carolyn Huerth will play Arkansas Little Rock's Michaela McShane in her opening match. Erin Patton will receive a first round bye for the Racers and will face the winner of Southern Illinois' Jennifer Dien and UALR's Christel Amsallem in the semifinals.
The doubles portion of the tournament will be a round robin format with each team playing four matches. Blue and Canty, Patton and Suga and Huerth and Stoltz will be the three doubles tandems.
Blue and Canty will open up doubles play against Arkansas State's Nowland and Teu. Patton and Suga will face Southeast Missouri's Robinson and Schaper in their first round matchup. Huerth and Stoltz will play Horsikyan and Buyukyan of Central Arkansas in their first match of doubles play.
