Racers Face Gamecocks for Fourth Consecutive Week

The No. 11 ranked Murray State rifle team will travel to Jacksonville, Ala., on Saturday to face fifth-ranked Jacksonville State for the fourth consecutive week.
The Racers are coming off a defeat last week to the Gamecocks at the Morehead State Invitational. JSU scored 4641 while the Racers compiled an aggregate of 4613. Morehead State had a score of 4537.
Kelsey Emme led the Racers last weekend with a score of 1156. Emme had scores of 571 and 585 in smallbore and air rifle, respectively. Tessa Howald was second for MSU in the match with an aggregate of 1153.
Saturday will be the Racers' final event of the fall before taking a break for the holidays. MSU will return to action in January as they will host Alaska-Fairbanks on the 10th.
