Track & Field Prepares to Open Outdoor Season

After having a very strong indoor season, the Murray State women's track & field team will open its 2012 Outdoor Season at the Shamrock Invitational. The meet is hosted by Coastal Carolina, March 16-17 in Conway, S.C. at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.
The Racers will be one of 68 women's teams participating in the meet that includes teams from all levels of collegiate track & field. MSU is the only team participating in the meet from the Ohio Valley Conference.
Friday field events start at 11 a.m., with track races beginning at 3:30 p.m. and running through 8:15 p.m. Saturday field events start at 10 a.m. and track events at 11 a.m., with the last event slated to start at 5:15 p.m.
