Right hander Tim Vonder Haar had one of his best outings of the season. Despite not allowing a hit over four innings, Vonder Haar was saddled with the loss after allowing an unearned run.
Babin Sets Career Mark in Ks
Senior Bryan Babin entered Sunday's start with nine strikeouts through nine appearances. After five innings against Morehead State, he nearly doubled his total as he struck out a career high eight Eagles.
Rhodes Earns OVC Honor
Catcher Jacob Rhodes earned OVC Hitter of the Week honors after going 9-for-18 with a double, triple, home run and 10 RBIs. He hit safely in all five games during the week, including going 2-for-3 with a grand slam and six RBIs against Mid-Continent.
Isaak Goes Deep in Back-to-Back ABs
Travis Isaak hit his first home run of the season in his final at-bat against Mid-Continent. He came back the next day and hit a two-run home run in his first at-bat against Belmont.
Rhodes Hits Grand Slam
Catcher Jacob Rhodes broke out of a slump in a big way as he went 2-for-3 with a grand slam and a career-best six RBIs. The grand slam was Rhodes' first long ball of the season.
Cornett Fans 7
Freshman Kyle Cornett had a career day against Mid-Continent as he struck out a career-best seven over six shutout innings.

After a big weekend at Southern Miss, Paul Ritzheimer was selected to the CollegeBaseball360.com Primetime Performers Weekly Honor Roll.
On Deck
The Breds return to Ohio Valley Conference action as they travel to face Tennessee Tech. The series gets underway at 6 p.m. Friday evening, and continues with a 1 p.m. first pitch on Saturday and Sunday.
