Racer Athletics Announces Men's Basketball Ticket Sales

Murray State University athletics announced an opportunity for Racer fans to purchase season tickets for the 2012-13 men's basketball season, according to Associate Athletic Director Paul Bubb.
“We had a number of inquiries from individuals who attended a game this past year and were interested in purchasing season tickets,” said Bubb. “We responded to those inquiries and so far have sold 143 new season tickets. Our regular process for renewing season tickets for our current season ticket holders will still take place in July. For the seats that were not sold on a season ticket basis this past year, we are selling those seats for the 2012-13 season at the present time.”
In addition to a limited number of season tickets in the lower level of the CFSB Center which are chair back seats, there are also reserved bleacher seats available in the east lower level. New for next season are reserved season tickets in the upper level (Sections 218 – 221) which will not require an additional membership in the Racer Club.
“The upper level seats have been general admission in the past, but for next year all bleacher seats in the upper level on both sides of the CFSB Center will be reserved seats,” explained Bubb. “This gives us some flexibility, including the ability to sell season reserved seats in those areas.”
A reserved chair back seat in the lower level for the 2012-13 season will cost $198 (corner chair seats) or $237 (center chair seats), while a reserved bleacher seat in the lower level will cost $149. All season tickets in the lower level require a Racer Club membership as well. Season tickets in the upper level will cost $129 per seat.
“Racer Athletics has a program to meet just about everyone's needs,” Bubb said. “Our GOLD program, specifically designed for graduates of the last decade offers seats in the lower level with three-year discounts for membership in the Racer Club as well as the price of the seats. So alumni as well as other Racer fans have some great options for purchasing season tickets for the coming season.”
