Alexis Love Named Athlete of the Championship

Murray State junior Alexis Love has been selected Athletes of the Championship for the OVC Championship meet, as voted on by the conference coaches.
Love, a Palmetto, Fla. native, raked in 23.5 team points for Murray State during the meet, winning the 100-meter dash, the 200-meter dash, anchoring the winning 4x100-meter relay team that set a new school record of 45.63 and the fifth-place 4x400-meter relay team.
Her time of 11.28 in the 100 set a new stadium record and also hit the Olympic A standard time, while her 200 mark of 23.33 in the 200 set a new OVC Championship meet record.
Love was awarded Female Track Athlete of the Year for the conference last week as well.
