ESPNU will televise the game as well as Racer Radio on WFGE 103.7 FM and online at Froggy103.com and GoRacers.com.
MSU won its 600th OVC regular season game with a 73-62 win Thursday at UT Martin, the Racers' fifth straight win in league openers.
Using the opportunity to rest his starters, MSU Head Coach Steve Prohm limited three of his starters to under 20 minutes and Stacy Wilson and Ed Daniel played 23 and 20 minutes. Isaiah Canaan led the way with 18 points while Wilson added 14 and freshman Jeffery Moss scored 14 for his best game to date for MSU.
MSU leads the all-time series with the Redhawks 50-17 with a 24-8 mark at home and a 25-8 record at SEMO. MSU has won the last two since the last SEMO win in at the Show Me Center in 2011. MSU has won eight of the last nine on SEMO's home court.
SEMO erased a 66-60 deficit with 5:52 remaining at home Thursday against Austin Peay with a 16-2 run and earned a 86-84 win to move to 2-0 in the OVC.
MSU's All-America Isaiah Canaan hit two threes against UTM and enters the SEMO game tied with the great Frank Allen for MSU's all-time record for made three-point baskets with 251. Allen played for MSU 1989-93 and his record has stood for 18 seasons. Allen surpassed Dan Mann who set the first mark at 204 from 1986-89. Mann's freshman season in 1986-87 was the first year that NCAA Basketball used the three-point shot.
Canaan's school-record for consecutive games with a made three-point basket is 23 entering the game at SEMO.
MSU is in the middle of starting their OVC season by playing three of four on the road. After the SEMO game, the Racers return home Wednesday to face Eastern Kentucky and hit the road again to play at Austin Peay (Jan. 12).
