The Breds close out their four-game homestand as they welcome Jacksonville State to Reagan Field for a three-game Ohio Valley Conference series. The series is set to get underway Friday at 3 p.m., and continue with a 2 p.m. first pitch on Saturday and a 1 p.m. matinee on Sunday.

The Breds and Gamecocks will be playing their 10th OVC series since the 2004 season. JSU has had the upper hand as they have won seven of the previous nine conference series. The Breds have lost all four series played at Reagan Field. MSU's series victories came in 2004 and 2010.

Weekend Weather
The weather will continued to get better as the weekend progresses. Sunny skies will be present all three days with temperatures in the upper 50s for first pitch, and be in the upper 70s by the series finale.
vs. Jacksonville State
The Breds have not fared well against the Gamecocks as they trail 20-10 in the all-time series. JSU was won seven of the nine conference series, with the Breds only victories coming on the road in 2004 and 2010.
Rare Win vs. Evansville
Murray State picked up a rare victory against Evansville when the Breds handed the Purple Aces a 12-6 defeat on April 10. It was just the second victory in the last 17 meetings dating back to 2005.
Top 5 in Order
The top five hitters in the MSU lineup went 11-for-19 with 11 RBIs and nine runs scored in the 12-6 victory over Evansville. Mike Kozlowski drove in four runs, while Dylan Wheeler added three RBIs. Brandon Elliott drove in a pair, while Ty Stetson and Brandon Eggenschwiler each plated one.
Elliott's Hit Streak Reaches 11
Brandon Elliott extended his hit streak to 11 games against Evansville. During the current streak, Elliott is 20-for-45 (.444) with three doubles, triple, home run and 12 runs scored. He raised his average 110 points during the streak.
Stetson Multi-Hit Streak Stops at 5
Ty Stetson saw his streak of five consecutive games with at least two hits come to an end against Evansville. He collected an RBI triple in the game to extend his hit streak to six games. He is 13-for-25 during his current hit streak.
Kozlowski's Last 3 Games
Mike Kozlowski has been on a tear of late as he has driven in 11 runs over the past three games. He began the streak by driving in four runs in the middle game against Eastern Illinois, and then followed it up with three more RBIs in the finale. He came back on Wednesday and drove in four runs against Evansville. He has driven in 35 runs on the season, ranking near the top of the OVC.
On Deck
The Breds begin a busy week as they travel to face Memphis on April 16 in the first of five games during the week. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. MSU will also host Mid-Continent on April 17, before welcoming Alabama A&M for a three-game series on April 19-21.
