Men's Tennis Closes Regular Season With Loss to Tennessee Tech

The Murray State men's tennis team's season came to an end Sunday afternoon as the Racers fell to OVC Champion Tennessee Tech 5-2 at Bennie Purcell Courts.
The Racers lost the doubles point in the match, losing all three of the doubles matches. Adam Taylor and Ryan Kennedy lost at number one 8-5. The duo of Nicholas and Aleks Mitric lost at two, 8-3 and Tyler Jeffers and Stefan Musa fell at number three 8-2.
Jeffers and Kennedy picked up the Racers' two singles wins on Sunday. Jeffers won at number two singles 7-5 and 7-6, while Kennedy was victorious at three by default. Kennedy had won his first set and trailed in the second set 4-3 to TTU's Artem Tarasov, before Tarasov was disqualified.
Taylor fell at number one 6-1 and 6-4 for the Racers. Nicholas Mitric lost at four 6-2, 6-3 and his brother Aleks lost at five 6-2, 6-2. Stefan Musa lost at six in his first action of the year 6-1 and 6-1.
The Racers finish the season with a 2-18 mark and a 1-8 record in the OVC.
