Pratt Named ADIDAS OVC Track & Field Athlete of the Week

Murray State sophomore Tonia Pratt was named the ADIDAS OVC Track & Field Women's Field Athlete of the Week for her performance at last weekend's Ole Miss Open. This is the second time during the outdoor season that Pratt has won the honor.

Pratt set a new career-high in the shot put on Saturday. Her throw of 48 feet is the second-best in MSU history and earned her the win in the event. She also took first in the discus with a toss of 151'7.5” at the meet. Pratt's throw is the third-best in school history. Pratt also placed 2nd in the hammer throw, recording a distance of 172', which is good enough to be the third-best throw in school history.

Pratt and the Racers will travel to Austin Peay Tuesday evening for the Austin Peay Showdown on the Cumberland, which is a tri-meet between the Racers, the Governors and Tennessee Tech.
