Towing For Toys
Join Murray State Athletics, Max's 641 Towing and Froggy103.7 this Saturday to help local children have a great Christmas! Bring a toy donation (valued at $10 or more, new, unwrapped) by the Froggy tent in the tailgate area behind Roy Stewart Stadium before the game and receive free ticket to watch the Racers take on UT Marti.. Toys will be distributed between the Murray Independent Schools Tiger Christmas and Calloway County Schools Santa Project. Both of these programs help lower income families provide toys, clothing and other necessities to local children. MIS Tiger Chirstmas serves about 400 kids and the CCS Santa Project serves close to 900 each Christmas.

The Racers are 35-17-1 all-time against the Skyhawks and 19-7-1 at home. Murray State has lost each of the last three meetings and has won just once since 2004.

MSU's Last Time Out
The Racers set school records by scoring 86 points and rushing for 12.0 yards per rush, in addition to tying the school record for 12 touchdowns, in an 86-29 romp of Kentucky Wesleyan.

DeQavius Walker began the game by running back the opening kick 84 yards for the first of three MSU return touchdowns on the day. Later in the game, Janawski Davis ran back a 64-yard punt and Pokey Harris ran back a 75-yard kickoff.

Harris recorded the first 100-yard rushing game of his career and MSU's first of the season with174 yards on 10 carries and a touchdown. When paired with his return, the junior finished the game with 251 all-purpose yards.

KD Humphries completed 19 of 23 passes in the game for 293 yards and two touchdowns and no interceptions. In addition, he rushed for 55 yards on seven attempts with two scores.
Jeremy Harness led the MSU receivers in the game with five catches for 74 yards. Marcus Holliday had one touchdown and 49 yards, while Davis also had a score to go along with 37 yards.

Kicker Carson Greifenkamp also had a good night, connecting on nine of 10 extra point attempts and knocking down a 40-yard field goal. He also kicked-off 13 times for an average of 63.0 yards a kick and three touchbacks.

Scouting Kentucky Wesleyan
After starting OVC play at 0-3, UT Martin has won three straight and will enter Saturday at 4-5 overall and 3-3 in the league. The Skyhawks picked up their third consecutive win last week at home with a 37-7 win over Austin Peay.

Jason Simpson is in his 9th season at the helm of the Skyhawks and is 56-45. Simpson is 7-1 all-time against MSU, losing just once in 2010.

The Skyhawks are currently averaging 26.8 points on 411.6 yards per game, while allowing opponents to score 27.0 points on 382.1 yards. The UTM offense is fairly balanced with a slight edge towards the pass. The Skyhawks average 221.1 yards in the air and 190.4 on the ground.

Jarod Neal has been Simpson's quarterback of choice this season, starting eight of nine games and going 1295-for-195 with five picks, 11 touchdowns and 1,488 total yards. In addition, Neal has 166 yards and three scores on the ground.

Leading the UTM receivers this season has been Kyle Kerrick with 326 total yards on 32 catches for 11.9 yards a reception. He has three touchdowns on the year and is averaging 42.4 yards per game.

Abou Toure leads the rushing attack for UT Martin with 652 yards and five touchdowns. He is averaging 72.4 yards a game and 5.3 yards per carry.

Defensively, Tony Bell leads the way with 55 tackles, 23 of which were solo. He currently has team highs of 15.5 tackles-for-loss for 44 yards and 5.5 sacks for 29 yards. He also has one interception, five breakups, nine hurries, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

Felton Collins came up one blocked extra point shy of an FCS record when he blocked two against Kentucky Wesleyan. He now has three on the season, blocking one in the season opener against Union (Ky.).
