Racers Run Past Brescia To Century Mark

The Murray State women's basketball team scored a program high 118 points with a 118-50 victory Tuesday at the CFSB Center in Murray. The game marks the first time the Racers have had three 100-plus point victories, and the first time since the 1988-89 season that they have scored 100-plus points in three games.

The Racers, individually and as a team, made their way into the record books in the victory. Olivia Cunningham dished out 11 assists and is tied for seventh for assists in a game. Netanya Jackson's five blocks put her tied in fifth for blocks in a game. As a team, Murray State is now tied for first in the record book as it pulled down 66 rebounds. The 28 assists and 10 blocks are tied for second in their respective categories, while the 45 field goals made is now the third in most in team history.

Seven Racers scored in double-digits on the night, led by Cunningham with 17 points and Jackson and Keiona Kirby with 15. Cunningham and Jackson each notched a double-double in the contest with 11 assists and 15 rebounds, respectively. Murray State shot 54.9-percent, which its best field goal percentage this season. From behind-the-arc, the Racers were 44.4-percent, which stands as their second best percentage on the season.

On the night, many Racers experienced career and season highs, like Jackson whose five blocks and six made field goals stand as new career bests. Her 16 rebounds are a new season high, while her one assist and two steals tie her season high. Ke'Shunan James tied her career-high six assists, while Ajee Smith tied her career-high two assists. Cunningham's eight field goals made and five rebounds stand as her career-highs. Chanyere Hosey now has had two steals in a game six times, while Jashae Lee has now made two three-pointers four times in her career.
