The Breds return to the friendly confines of Reagan Field as they welcome SIU Edwardsville for a three-game OVC series on March 21-23. The series is set to get underway Friday at 3 p.m., and continue with a 2 p.m. first pitch on Saturday and a 1 p.m. matinee on Sunday.

The Breds and Cougars have met 15 times prior with SIUE holding an 8-7 advantage in the series. All 15 meetings have taken place since 2009. MSU has won the season series each of the last two season after the Cougars swept the Breds in Murray in 2011.

Finch Throws No-No vs. SIUE in 2013
Right hander Cameron Finch made history against SIUE last season as he threw the first nine-inning no hitter in school history in a 1-0 victory. The senior walked four and struck out five, while needing only 96 pitches.
McGowan Shows Off Power
Shortstop Matt McGowan showed off his poer against Memphis as he hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the first inning.
Downey Earns OVC Honor
Brock Downey was named the adidas OVC Pitcher of the Week after striking out 12 in a complete-game victory over UT Martin. The junior was also selected as the Bluegrass Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Back-to-Back OVC Series Victories
The Breds won their second-straight OVC series against UT Martin. It marked the first time they have won their first two conference series since the 2005 season. That season they won each of the first three OVC series.
Downey Fans 12
Left hander Brock Downey had his best game of his career as he fanned12 in a complete-game victory over UT Martin. He allowed just two runs, one earned, on five hits and one walk. It was the first double-digit strikeout performance for a Breds pitcher since Daniel Calhoun struck out 14 against North Dakota State on March 7, 2009.
Stetson's Streak
Senior Tyler Stetson has reached safely in all 18 games this season, and 46-straight dating back to 2013. Even more impressive, Stetson reached safely in 51 of the 53 games he played last season.

Stetson Reaches 200 Hits
Senior Ty Stetson joined the 200-hit club at MSU. He joined the elite group with a two-run single in the middle game of the three-game series against Morehead State. He is currently tied with Zach Noonan and Brett McCutchan for 6th on the all-time list. Â

Freshman Tyler Lawrence drove in a career-best five runs in the series opener at UT Martin. He finished the game 2-for-3 with two doubles and a pair of sacrifice flies. It was the first five-RBI game since Dylan Wheeler drove in six against UT Martin last season.
