The Breds close out a four-game homestand as they welcome Southern Illinois to Reagan Field March 26. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. This is the first of a home-and-home series between the teams, with the return game being played April 2 in Carbondale, Ill.

Brock Downey tossed his second-straight complete game, but this time came up on the short end of the decision. He allowed three runs, two earned, on five hits and seven strikeouts. It marked the second time in his career he has thrown a complete game and lost.
McGowan Shows Off Power
Shortstop Matt McGowan showed off his power against Memphis as he hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the first inning.
