The Murray State Racers hit the road for a 6 p.m. tip against the Southeast Missouri Redhawks at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. on Saturday. The game finds the Racers closing on an outright Ohio Valley Conference championship as they enter the game 22-4 overall and 12-0 in conference play. The Racers have steadily built an impressive resume with 20 straight wins including eight in a row on the road.
MSU faces SEMO only nine days after they beat the Redhawks in Murray (Feb. 5) 82-72. Jarvis Williams had a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds as the Racers won the rebound stat by 10. MSU is 26-9 all-time on SEMO's home court but lost last March in a thrilling double-overtime affair 118-115.
The Racers (22-4, 12-0 OVC) used a 26-9 run to end the half and rode it to a 78-46 win at home Thursday over SIUE. SEMO (12-13, 6-6 OVC) dominated UT Martin Thursday in a 98-76 win at home. MSU clinched at least a tie for the OVC title with the win.

The Racers have the nation's second-longest winning streak of 20, behind only the Kentucky Wildcats who are 24-0. Coming out of Thanksgiving weekend at 2-4, nobody had the Racers on their radar. Yet here they are 77 days later with the second 20-game win streak in school history. The program record of 23 was not long ago in the 2011-12 season also under head coach Steve Prohm. Not only do the Racers have an impressive winning streak going, they also have other current win streaks including: 12 at home overall and 14 at home in OVC games. On the road MSU has won eight in a row overall and six-straight OVC games.
Coach Steve Prohm is on the verge of being the fastest in program history to 100 career wins. Prohm is the only coach at MSU to begin his career with four straight 20-win campaigns.
The Racers have clinched their 28th straight winning season. MSU came into the season trailing only Syracuse, Kansas and Arizona. MSU's remarkable run has been accomplished by seven coaches.
