The Murray State women's tennis team got their sixth sweep of the season when they defeated UT Martin 7-0 Tuesday at Purcell Courts in Murray, Kentucky. Â Andrea Eskauriatza handed Hitomi Naito her first conference loss, as the sophomore went undefeated last season and was undefeated in her previous two conference matches this season.

The match began after being halted due to rain. The match started Tuesday with the Racers up on court two and three and down 1-0 on court one. Nancy Karaky and Alena Vasileva took control of court three and went up 8-0. Eleonore Tchakarova and Verginie Tchakarova helped the Racers take the doubles point when they defeated Hitomi Naito and Burcu Tari 8-3.

E. Tchakarova took control in singles, the same way she took control in doubles play and defeated Sarah Candeloro 6-1, 6-1 to give MSU their first singles point. Her sister, V. Tchakarova wasn't far behind on court six with she defeated Tamara Klimek 6-1, 6-0. Alena Vasileva sealed the Racer win when she went 6-2, 6-4 over Jessica Silva on court five. The three other singles matches saw wins to help the Racers win 7-0.

Murray State will face Eastern Kentucky Friday at 10 a.m. at Purcell Courts in Murray, Kentucky.
