Murray State women's tennis team plays host to Jacksonville State in the final regular season match Saturday at Purcell Courts in Murray, Kentucky. Before the match begins at 10 a.m., the Racers will recognize Andrea Eskauriatza, the lone senior from Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico.

Last weekend, MSU swept both Tennessee State 4-0 and Belmont 7-0. The Racers look to grab a win and as least hold a share of the regular season title. Since the decision to award a regular season champion came in 2006, Murray State has only won one regular season title coming last season during the 2014 season.

This season, MSU has four Racers that are undefeated in conference play, and one student-athlete that remains undefeated. Eskauriatza is 6-0 (all in the No. 1 position), Suzaan Soltz is 1-0 (in the No. 4 position), Alena Vasileva is 7-0, and Erin Patton is 7-0 and 16-0 overall.

As we look to recognize the lone senior, we must look at her time at Murray State, Eskauriatza has been 26-6 in the No. 1 position, as well as going 6-0 in conference. The team is 17-2 in the OVC and 30-9 overall in her two seasons with the Racers.

Jacksonville State is playing for their way into the OVC tennis tournament. The Gamecocks hold a 3-5 conference record after falling to SIU Edwardsville 5-2 and then Eastern Illinois 5-2. JSU must face Austin Peay in Clarksville, Tennessee on Friday before traveling to face Murray State.Â
