The Murray State Racers wrapped up their exhibition tour of Canada with a 66-55 win over the Concordia University Stingers at Concordia Athletics Complex in Montreal.
Bryce Jones scored 11 of his 14 points in the first half to lead the Racers to a 2-1 mark on their summer trip north of the boarder. Kedrick Flomo added 11 as the Racer point guard tandem combined for 25 points.
Justin Seymour's 3-pointer put the Racers ahead 15-10 with 2:02 left in the opening quarter. Flomo and Jones bridged the first and second quarters with steals that led directly to easy baskets and a 33-19 lead with 6:02 before half. After a Concordia run that cut the Racers' lead to 45-35, Brion Sanchious and Wayne
Langston scored back-to-back hoops to give the Racers a 40-27 edge at the half.
In the second half, the Racers headed to the final quarter in front 61-47 and cruised home from there.
The third game of MSU's Canadian tour was their best defensive production by far. MSU forced the Stingers into 28 turnovers and held them to 28 percent shooting on 15-of-51 shots. The Racers had 15 steals in the game with four each coming from Jones and Croaker.
The Racers had their best offensive night of the trip as well by hitting 26-of-57 from the field for 45 percent.
Thursday is a travel day for the Racers as they return to Murray on flights that take them from Montreal, through New York City and then to Nashville.
The Racers are coming home just in time to enjoy the Hoopalooza celebration Friday at the CFSB Center.
