Racers Can't Find The Mark In Loss At Evansville

The Murray State Racers dropped a 78-46 defeat on the road to the Evansville Purple Aces Saturday afternoon at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.
The Racers fell to 4-5 on the season as they come home Monday for a 7 p.m. top against the Bethel Wildcats.
The day proved to be a poor offensive day for the Racers as they shot 28 percent for the game on 15-of-54 from the field and 5-of-26 from the 3-point line for 20 percent.
Trailing 19-15 with 11:09 left in the first half, the Racers suffered a cold stretch and The Aces went on a 25-6 run to lead 46-21 at halftime.
Bryce Jones and Jonathan Stark led the Racers each with nine points. Jones grabbed eight rebounds and dished out four assists.
Game Notes
Coming into this game, MSU had won three-straight games in the rebound stat, but trailed UE 40-37.
MSU hit a season-low five 3-point baskets.
MSU's Jonathan Stark's nine points broke a string of three-straight games with 20 or more points.
The Racers now prepare for a three-game week that starts Monday when Bethel comes to the CFSB Center for a 7 p.m. tip. MSU then travels to Oxford for a game with Ole Miss Thursday and then heading west to play the South Dakota State Jackrabbits Saturday (Dec. 17) in Brooks, S.D.
