Jeffery Moss Named All-OVC

Murray State men's basketball senior Jeffery Moss was named to the 2016 All-Ohio Valley Conference First Team after voting was conducted by the league's head coaches and sports information directors.
Moss, from Madison, Alabama, makes it seven straight seasons for MSU to have an All-OVC First Team selection.
With a 3-point average that is second in OVC games at .495, Moss has made more 3-point shots (53) that anyone one in the OVC in league games. Moss has been the hottest shooter in the league of late with a scoring 21.3 ppg in the last eight games.
Moss became the 43rd member of the MSU 1000-Point Club this season and enters this week's OVC Tournament as one of 22 MSU players that have reached 1,300 career points (He has 1,380).
Moss went out in style (Feb. 27) when he was honored on Senior Day at the CFSB Center. He scored a career-high 33 points to lead the Racers past UT Martin 79-55. Moss hit eight 3-point baskets, which was one off the MSU single-game mark. His stat line was impressive with 11-of-16 shooting and 8-of-11 from 3-point range.
In all games this season among OVC players, Moss is the 14th leading scorer (14.2ppg) and sixth in 3-point percentage (75-of-178 .421). His 75 made threes is fourth this season in the OVC behind only Craig Bradshaw of Belmont (85), Alex Anderson of UTM (81) and Torrance Rowe of Tennessee Tech (78).
On Murray State career lists, Moss is 19th in scoring (1,380 points) and 22nd in made field goals (460). Additionally, Moss is one of five Racers to make 200 3-point baskets. His 213 threes are third all-time behind first place Isaiah Canaan (304) and Frank Allen (251). In career 3-point percentage, Moss is sitting at .407 and is seventh at MSU.
Moss leads the Racers into the OVC Tournament this week in Nashville. MSU takes on Eastern Illinois in a first round game Wednesday in Nashville at Municipal Auditorium.
