
Tennis Opens OVC Play on the Road

The Murray State men's and women's tennis teams open OVC play on Friday as they travel to take on the Morehead State. The Racers have a quick turnaround as they take on Eastern Kentucky in Richmond on Saturday.
The men's team is 2-10 in non-conference play. The Racers faced a tough schedule as they played four ranked opponents (#40 Memphis, #49 Kentucky, #45 Vanderbilt and #69 South Carolina). The two wins for the Racers came against Olivet Nazarene and Tennessee Wesleyan. In both matches, the MSU won the doubles point, which was a deciding factor in the 4-3 victories.
The women's team comes into conference play with a 5-4 record. The record ranks fourth in the OVC. The Racers came into the season being picked to finish second in the league. The Racers are 2-2 on the road with notable wins at Arkansas State and Lipscomb
