Racers 11th - Folke 13th At Citrus Challenge

The Murray State women's golf team turned in an 11^th place finish at the Citrus Challenge in RedTail Golf Club in Sorrento, Florida.

The Racers fired rounds of 301-318-304=913 to gain a share of 11^th place with Stetson and one shot behind 10^th place Cincinnati. The Racers bested Ohio (927), Akron (931) and McNeese State (932).

Moa Folke was the Racers' top finisher with a spot in 13^th place after rounds of 72-76-77=225, while Sydney trimble placed 28^th with scores of 73-84-72=229. Jacklyn Van Meter had scores of 76-79-77=232 and was 46^th place. MSU's Abbie Stamper and Sophie Hillier placed 96^th. Stamper had scores of 80-79-85=244, while Hillier carded scores of 82-84-78=244.

Anna Moore played the event as an individual for the Racers and had scores of 77-81-84=242 for a spot in 90^th place.

Western Kentucky won the event in a tiebreaker after there was a three-way tie with Elon and James Madison with a score of 899. WKU won the tiebreaker by having the best score for their fifth player. North Florida was fourth at 904 and Florida Gulf Coast was fifth at 906.

The RedTail course played to a par of 72 and 6,125 yards.

The Racers are back into action (April 1-3) at the Ole Miss Rebel Invitational. The 54-hole event is contested at the Ole Miss Golf Club in Oxford, Miss.
